A page for Tim and others to capture the genealogical documentation that led to the conclusion of James Horr being in the Charles Hoare line versus where many others believed. That he was a son of Robert Horr 3rd and Lavina Hamm in the Hezekiah Hoar line. A question that caused Tim to start the FTDNA project on this surname. And one answered after Randy recruited descendants of Robert 3rd and Lavina to test and help solve his Peter Horr mystery.
DNA testing of two individuals descended from James Horr (and matching each other) clearly placed them in the Charles Hoare line. They had originally placed themselves in the line: Robert Hor6, Robert Hoar5, Robert Hoar4, Samuel Hoar3, Nathaniel Hoar2, Hezekiah Hoar1. Joyce, Roz and others saw that this James fit the sparse data they had for Robert and Lavina's children and considered Robert's family complete. Tim's research thought James to be a son of Josiah Horr and Lucy Powers. This line is Josiah Horr7, Jonathan Hoar6, Josiah Hoar5, John Hoar4, Daniel Hoar3, John Hoar2, Charles Hoar1. Tim's key piece of evidence is a letter from Norton Horr to a descendant of Josiah's that inquired about the lines there.
