Obituary:
WEBSTER - Robert H Hoar Sr., 70, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home following a long battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born in Webster the son of Kenneth & Edith (Keyser) Hoar July 4, 1940. He grew up in Webster attending and graduating from Simonds Free High School, class of 1958.
Bob was a self-employed logger and saw mill owner operator as well as being involved in construction. He also served as the town road agent in Webster in the late 60's as well as operating heavy machinery and truck driving for some of the other local businesses.
He was predeceased by a son Brian Hoar in 1996.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Dona (Fisher) Hoar of Webster; two sons Robert Hoar Jr. and Mark Hoar both of Webster; a brother Kenneth Hoar and a sister Phyllis Roberts both of Webster; five grandchildren Megan, Samuel, Nichociana, Benjamin, and Molly Hoar all of Webster; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m. in Beaver Dam Cemetery on Long St. in Webster. Pastor David Richardson will officiate. As per the family's request please dress casual.
