WILLIAM F. HOAR Jr., 88, of Log Road, a bus driver for Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for 25 years before retiring in 1973, died Thursday at the Hebert Nursing Home. He was the husband of Mary I. (Prosser) Hoar.
Born in Providence, a son ofthe late William F. Hoar Sr. and Ida (Williams) Hoar, he lived many years in North Providence before moving to Smithfield four years ago.
Mr. Hoar was a member of ATU Local 618. He was a member of Beneficent Congregational Church in Providence.
Heis survived by his wife.
The funeral and burial will be private.
