      Obituary:
Mrs. Bertha Hildum Parks, 77, of 41 Washington Street died Saturday. A lifelong
resident of Randolph she had started teaching in the rural schools and after two years
was engaged to teach third grade in Randolph, a position which she held until her
retirement six years ago. When the new Randolph Central School building was
completed in 1932, Mrs. Parks was appointed principal of the School Street building.
She was widely known as an excellent teacher. Her husband, Merle Parks, preceded her in death and her son, Robert Parks, was killed in the early 1930's when a Randolph fire truck overturned on Route 17 at the Quaker Bridge Road.
