Ellen was born in 1863 in Old Parish, outside of dungarvan in County Waterford, Ireland. She married Owen O'HARA, publisher of a Newark newspaper. Their children were: Ellen Stern, Ethel, Tess, Mary, Florence and William O'HARA The O'HARA sisters were quite talented singers and had their own radio show for a while."
