- NOTES from memorandum written by Judge James Lincoln, October 1973: Loren Wheton Lincoln was called "Low" by his brother, Lansing Edgar Lincoln. Lansing was called "Ed."
Notes referencing a letter Judge Lincoln received from a cousin "Bert." Bert D. Wright, age 90, was a friend of Edgar and Philura. "Low" Lincoln is Lren Wheton Lincoln, born in Groton, NY, March 25, 1840. He was a brother of Lansing Edgar Lincoln, born November 23, 1842. I noted in a book about Early Huron County Citizens that Low Lincoln owned a farm in 1884 in Hume Township, Huron County. This is not far from Port Austin. It would appear that Low Lincoln lived in Harbor Beach for a time with George Wright, Sr. after 1894.
