Obituary:
Funeral services for Carl D. Hoard, 59, of Greenhurst, who died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 31, 1966) in Jamestown General Hospital, were held at 10 a.m. today at the Henderson-Lincoln Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne J. Hamilton of the Fluvanna Community Church, officiated. Burial was in Fluvanna Cemetery.
Mr. Hoard was a sales representative for the Texaco Co., and the Proper Oil Co. of Sinclairville, retiring in June 1966 due to ill health.
He was born in Jamestown, Jan. 26, 1907, the son of Carl and Juanita Ewing Hoard and had lived in this area most of his life.
Mr. Hoard was a member of the Celoron and Falconer Rod and Gun Clubs.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettle Chase Hoard; two daughters, Mrs. Max Robinson, Buffalo; and Miss Jean Hoard, Bemus Point; one son, David Hoard, Greenhurst; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Olson and Mrs. Juanita Newkirk, Danbury, Conn.

Bearers were Frank Driscoll, Jack Lloyd, Howard Richards, John Reardon, Melville Hoard, Louis Anderson, Rudolph Miller and Bernie Anderson.
