Ellenville Man Dies After Crash Near Port Jervis
Royal C. Hoar, 53, of 6 Mill Street, Ellenville, died at St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis, this morning as the, result of injuries sustained in a highway
accident Tuesday on Route 300 near Huguenot.
A native of Ellenville, he was born July 1, 1908, a son of the late James and Ida Belle Bradford Hoar. He was married to the former Mae MacEntee at Ellenville on July 4, 1934 Mr. Hoar was employed as a driver for Marvin Millwork, Inc., Ellenville. He was a member of Ellenville Reformed Church and a life member of the Kimball Hose Company No. 1 of Ellenville.,
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Carl and Todd Hoar, both at home; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Iris) Slater of Kerhonkson; Mrs. Joseph (Ruth
Ann) Newman of Napanooh, and Mrs. Wilton (Margaret) Sheley
of Ellenville; also seven grandchildren; two brothers, Judson of Kingston and Harrison Hoar of Ellenville; three sisters, Mrs. George Garland and Mrs. John
Keester, both of Tenafly, N. J., and Mrs. Robert Michel of Napanoch;
also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Loucks Funeral Home Inc., 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, Friday at 2 p. m. The Rev. George H. Winn, pastor of Ellenville Reformed Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fantinekill
Cemetery, Ellenville.
Members of Kimball Hose Co. will conduct services at the funeral home Thursday 8 p. m. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and
Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p. m.
