  [[ Obituary Geraldine M. Hoar MOUNT VERNON - Geraldine M. Hoar, 82, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. Geraldine was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Mount Vernon to Clifford and Goldie Grace (Vian) Frost and had spent her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. Geraldine spent her time and energies loving and caring for her family, which she loved with all her heart. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Wayne Sapp, and Janet and John Hoar, all of Mount Vernon; her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patty Hoar of Fredericktown and James B. and Louise Hoar of Granby, Conn.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Norland "Pete" and Maxine Frost of Mount Vernon, Ronald and Alice Frost of Howard, Florence Frost of Fredericktown and Marcella Reed of Mount Vernon; and a brother-in-law, Lewis Hoar of Mount Vernon. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Hoar; son, Carl L. Hoar; brothers, Marion "Art" Frost and Elmer Frost; and her sister, Iona Loney. Friends may call Wednesday, June 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bob Hendrix will officiate. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson Disease National Office, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305.
