  Macomber genealogy says: Anna, daughter of William and Sarah (Holloway) Macomber, married Jonathan Hoar and had a daughter, Anna Hoar, who married Seth Hodges June 14, 1744. On Sept. 8, 1735, Jonathan Hoar had petitioned the court to appoint a guardian for his daughter, Anna, who had a claim on the estate of J. Macomber, through her mother. From "Hodges Family of New England" Seth [Hodges] left Norton when quite young and went to Taunton and there married a wife so young that he was appointed her guardian. Seth married 2nd Mrs. Elizabeth Tyler in 1763/4 and had Seth Hodges born Feb. 19, 1765.
