      AUBURN, NY < Josephine C. Good Nicpon, 88, wife of John F. Nicpon, of 50 Lansing St., Auburn, went home to heaven unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. A life resident of Auburn, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Krol Good. She was a communicant of St. Hyacinth Church. Jo was a former employee of the Cayuga County Lab and General Electric and was employed by Welch Allyn of Skaneateles until her retirement. She was a member of the Swietoniowski-Kopecz American Legion No. 1324 Auxiliary and a former member of the Girls Civic Bowling League. She enjoyed bowling and crocheting but especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, John F. Nicpon; her daughter, Karen Stewart (Fred Westphal); son, Michael J. Nicpon (Sharon Smith); four grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Nicpon II, Cynthia (Robert) Root and Brandon and Samantha Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Michaela and Justin; her brother, Stanley (Barbara) Good of Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Betty Gasowski, Elsie Dougherty and Ann Nicpon; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jo was predeceased by her grandson, Stephen Stewart; sisters, Julia Horr, Cecelia Good, Ann Mack; brothers, Walter and Louis Good; stepsister, Victoria Slaski Marchisin; stepbrothers, John, Edward and Frank Szozda. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Hyacinth Church, offered by the Rev. Eugene Dobosz. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Nicpon Funeral Home, 235 State Street.
