BROCKTON -- Mary Elizabeth "Mae" (McRae) Hoar, 87, of Brockton, a retired machine operator, died Friday at St. Joseph's Manor after a long illness.
Mrs. Hoar was born in Boston, and lived in Dorchester before moving to Brockton 26 years ago.
Wife of the late George F. Hoar, she is survived by two sons, George F. Hogan of Marshfield and John J. Hogan of Billerica; a daughter, Mary S. Sprague of Brockton; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St.
