O'Brien. 83. a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Thursday at Yonkers General Hospital after a short illness. Born Dec. 18. 1891. in Yonkers. he attended St. Mary's and Yonkers High schools and married the former Anne Hoar, on June 29, 1916. at the Monastery- Church of the Sacred Heart. She survives. He worked as a steamfitter and had been a charter member of Steamfitters and Helpers Local 543. He was a communicant of St. Denis Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son. Edward J. Jr. of Ocean Port. N.J.. and five grandchildren
