(Long) Hoar, 95, of 35 Holy Family Road died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Born in Ireland, she came to this city at the age of 23. She was a longtime Springfield resident before returning. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church in Springfield, and a member of its Women's Guild. Her husband, John J. Hoar, died in 1960. She leaves a son, John F. of West Springfield; a daughter, Mary E. Moore of San Leandro, Calif.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be private, with the burial at the conveninece of the family. There are no calling hours, and Sampson's Liberty Street, Springfield, Funeral Home is in charge.
