NevGen

NevGen is another one of these home-grown, ad-hoc sites like many of the most useful tools attached to various surname studies. This site has utilized the scraped ysearch and FTDNA open-project STR data to generate a best-in-class yDNA SNP haplogroup prediction utility. Better than any we have seen and much deeper in the tree than anything FTDNA will ever provide. Especially useful when using the deep-clade analysis offered for some areas like Haplogroup R1b. We verified it's results against BigY tested haplogroups that had y67 are higher STR results and found it quite accurate and consistent. Especially when using the appropriate sub-clade predictor model in the settings (if it exists for the values submitted). That is, when it predicts (near) 100% with a strong fitness indicator, we found predicted clades pretty deep in the tree (and often close to the BigY determined leaf blocks). We thus use it for groups that have not tested SNPs yet to get a refined, likely, deep haplogroup in the phylogenetic tree.

This is not a phylogenetic tree site but provides tree entry haplogroups based on analyzing yDNA STR data. Most sites providing such analysis also provide a tree and hence just including it in that category here.
