So we finally decided to add a Genetic Genealogy Terms section for entries that are unique to this community. Don't get us wrong. This whole site is slanted by the genetic genealogy field. The biological terms from Genetics proper are interpretations as the community has adopted them. And even for Anthropology and Genealogy terms. But some terms are basically created by and for the community. When so specific, we list them under here to help emphasize that they are invented by this nascent, dare we say "pseudo-science" community. Some of the best progress on understanding has come not from those with traditional genetics or genealogy background. But these ad-hoc, what are termed, "citizen scientists" stumbling in the field. But adding the word "science" or "scientist" to most of this work and people is a real misnomer. It is far from it. And so advancement and even settling down to firmer meaning in terms is a very messy process.
