      Hi Roz,
Thank you for responding. I have lots on the Browns in New Brunswick, Canada including the following from thr 1871 census of Canada,

Major Andre Brown age 45 (Major is his first name)
Mary Ann age 48 wife- nee Ryan
      James H age 17
      Mary J age 16
      Caroline age 14
      Archibald age 13
      Eliza A age 9

From the above children Mary J married John Harry Browne and they stayed in Canada--I descend from them.
Caroline married Benjamin Reading and I got this from the death record of Caroline who died in 1943 in Providence, R.I. I find no trace of these Readings in Rhode Island.
Elizabeth A. (Eliza, Lizzie) married George E Horr--again I got this from the 1937 death record for Eliza in Providence, R.I.
The mother of this family, Mary Ann (nee Ryan) also died in Providence R.I. on May 28 1908.
According to the 1905 census of Rhode Island, Elizabeth states that she came to the U.S. in 1884.
I have not been able to find the other children yet. I do not see this family on the 1881 census for Canada nor the 1880 census of the U.S. I have not found a death death record for Major so I don't know if he died in Canada or The U.S.
Apparently there were other children including a Walter and an Isaiah, but have found nothing concrete to prove that.
Elizabeth was my great great aunt as was Caroline, but I am having trouble finding any leads except for your family tree which includes George and Elizabeth.
Any chance you can shed some light?
      David
