      Her mother's obituary:
      BARNA, AGNES MIHOK, a resident of the Osborn Retirement Community, in Rye, past away peacefully on Oct. 11 [2008?], at the age of 94. Born in Yonkers, NY, she was a proud and happy resident of Bryn Mawr Knowlls for 45 years. Agnes was a graduate of Commerce High School and a parishioner of the Most Holy Trinity Church, in Yonkers. She was predeceased in August 1990 by her beloved husband George and in April 1994 by her dearest daughter Francine Haggerty. Agnes is survived by her devoted daughter Georgine B. Hoar, her sons-in-law, Leo J. Hoar, Jr., William P. Haggerty and her three adoring grandchildren, Leo J., ("Buddy") Hoar III, Jennifer Lee Hoar and Peter D. Haggerty. Agnes Barna was a Vice President of The Wanamaker Millrose Athletic Association, a historic track and field enterprise of the John Wanamaker Company for more then 30 years. She took great pride and joy in the preparation and management of the annual indoor Millrose Games competitions each winter in Madison Square Garden. Her great zest for life, independent spirit, many interest's and abiding love for family and friends will always be remembered. Agnes' family want to express their heart felt gratitude and deep appreciation to all the medical and residential staff at The Osborn for their extraordinary care and loving friendship of a dear mother and grandmother. A wake will be held at the Fred H. McGrath & Son funeral home in Bronxville, NY on Wednesday Oct. 15 from 6 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, in Bronxville on Thursday Oct. 16 at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at The Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
