  [[ Obituary: Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) - December 13, 2011 Deceased Name: ABBOTT Leonard D. Abbott December 12, 2011 Leonard D. Abbott, 61, of Besaw Rd., Phoenix, NY (Palermo), passed away at his home with his family by his side. Born in Oswego to his late parents, Hubert and Edith (Dodge) Abbott on January 30, 1950. A graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, Fulton, class of 1968. After graduation he became owner/operator of Abbott Cleaning Service. He also earned his CDL. Leonard attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Central Square Congregation. He loved camping with family and friends. Getting to build camp fires was his specialty. He built cedar hope chests for family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Robyn (Hoar) Abbott; three adult children and their spouses, Daniel (Meghan) Abbott of Buffalo, Amber (Chris) McKay of Phoenix, and Justin Abbott of Phoenix; three brothers, Larry of N. Syracuse, David of FL, and Nathan of Oswego; one sister, Eileen Perez of ME; five grandchildren; one aunt and uncle; nieces, nephews, cousins. Calling hours are on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, NY 13135.
