A funeral service was conducted Sunday in the Chamberlin Funeral Home, here for Charles L. Horr, 65, of Canandaigua, a Dansville native, who died Thursday (June 3, 1976) in the Buffalo Veterans Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Dansville, he moved to Canandaigua in 1974. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He tended bar in Dansville for many years and was also a former steward at Dansville's Daniel Goho American Legion Post of which he was a member. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and the Protectives Fire Co. of Dansville.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Seaman Horr; a son, Jeffrey of Dansville; two daughters, Mrs. Sharleen Hartman of Dansville and Mrs. Sharon Dixon of Dansville; three step-sons, Nathan Aldrich of Indianapolis, Ind., Howard Aldrich of No. Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Donald Aldrich of Mystic, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Maurice Horr of Dansville; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
