  [[ Obituary: Sunday Republican (Springfield, MA) - December 11, 2005 Deceased Name: Jean Miller SOUTHAMPTON - Jean (Douglas) Miller, 87, died peacefully at home Tuesday December 6th in the loving care of her family. She was born in Westfield, MA, the daughter of the late Dr. Archibald and Florence (Knowles) Douglas. She attended Westfield public schools and graduated from the Northampton School for Girls and Smith College. Jean is survived her husband of 60 years, Lewis W. Miller, and their five children: Kate Miller Carl of Southampton, Elizabeth Miller Grasty of Herndon, VA, Louisa Miller Hoar of Silver Spring, MD, Judith Miller Conlin of Southampton, and Bruce Douglas Miller of Hollywood, FL. She leaves six grandchildren: Flannery Jean Wiemer, Jenny Thankful Kapinos, Jared Daniel Conlin, Meredith Miller Hoar, Andrew Douglas Carl, and Emily Erin Hoar. She also leaves her brother, Dr. Richard K. Douglas of Westfield. A service in celebration of her life will be held at the Southampton 1st Congregational Church on Saturday, December 17 at 1:00 pm.
