Obituary:
Newspaper: Rockford Register Star
BYRON -- Norma D. Hoar, 95, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, in Neighbors Nursing Home in Byron after a long and wonderful life. Born Feb. 5, 1908, in Galesburg, the daughter of Schuyler C. and Kattie J. (Alders) Baylor. Lived in Byron for 35 years coming from the Galesburg area. Maried Edward E. Hoar Nov. 1, 1941, in Kahoks, Mo.; he predeceased her April 15, 2002. Survivors include sisters-in-law, Virginia Hoar of Roscoe, Magdalan Hoover of Rockford, Isabella Hoar of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Hoar of Rockford; brother-in-law, Edward McConville of Phoenix, Aria.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by parents; brother, Eugene Baylor; and brothers-in-law, James, Charles, LaVern and Bob Hoar. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dawna Lee, Caroline, and all the wonderful staff at Neighbors Nursing Home in Byron.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel. 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to service time. Bill Rowe will be officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
