SNODGRASS, blacksmith, was born in Champaign County, Ohio, March 10, 1834; moved to Lima, Allen Co., Ohio, and in 1861 enlisted in the U. s. Army, and was elected First Lieutenant of Company D, one Hundred and Eighteenth Ohio Volunteer Infantry; returned to Allen County after the close of the war, and in 1869 moved to Marshall County, Kan. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge and held the office of Master in 1880. He is also a member of the G. A. R. He was married in Champaign County, Ohio, *November, 1856, to M. E. Horr. He is the father of eight children; Ella, twenty-five; William, twenty-three; Olla, twenty-one; Dewight, nineteen; Nana A., sixteen; Emma, twelve; Jessie, ten; Burt, six. Mr. Snodgrass is a blacksmith by trade and is the owner of a fine farm a short distance from Frankfort, Marshall County, where he now resides.
