Obituary:
ALICE MARIE HOARD
(Ah Kway Way)
Alice Marie Hoard (nee Kelly), 79, of Atikokan, Ont., passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at the Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan.
Alice was born March 10, 1928 in Kenora, Ont. to the late Harry and Mary Kelly. She moved to Fort Frances, Ont., where she lived until moving to Atikokan in 1963.
She loved crocheting and sewing, and had a great love for her cat Tom. She was a dedicated mother and her family was very important to her.
Alice is survived by her five children, Babes (Rory) Rusnick, Nicole (Dave) Klatt, Sandra Ui, Sylvia Halifax, and Tina Morrison.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Charles, Kevin, Eddy, Shannon, Sheila, Jennifer, John, Mike, Chris, Michelle, Tammy, and Aaron; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Kelly, Bobby Kelly, Colin Kelly, and John Jim Kelly; and nieces and nephews.
She was united in marriage to Dan Hoard, who predeceased her on Feb. 2, 2006. She also was predeceased by her daughter, Victoria; siblings, Eddie, George, Jim H., and Victoria; and grandchild, Serena.
A traditional service was held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Onigaming First Nation gymnasium.
Elder Fred Kelly officiated, followed by interment in the Onigaming First Nation Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Alices family.

On Friday, June 18, 1999, our beloved brother, uncle, and great uncle, George Kelly, passed away due to cancer at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ont. with family members at his side. He was born Dec. 4, 1940 in Kenora to the late Harry Kelly and Mary (Kokum) Kelly. George had lived all his life at Onigaming, Ont., and had worked as a guide at various local camps. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he gained many friends through his kindness and friendly personality. George will be sadly missed by his surviving family of one daughter, Amanda Morrison of Wabigoon, Ont.; three grandchildren; sister, Alice Hoard (Dan) of Atikokan, Ont.; brother, Colin Kelly (Juanita) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sister, Mary Kelly, brothers, Bob Kelly (Delores), John Jim Kelly (Catherine), and Jim H. Kelly (Corrine), and sister-in-law, Dorothy Kelly, all of Onigaming First Nation; and all his nephews and nieces who were all close to George. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mary (Kokum) Kelly; a brother, Eddie Kelly; and sister, Victoria Kelly. A traditional funeral service was held Tuesday, June 22, 1999 in the morning at Onigaming First Nation Gymnasium. Elder Fred Kelly Sr. conducted the service, followed by interment in the Onigaming First Nation Cemetery. A funeral wake was held Monday, June 21, 1999 at the Onigaming First Nation Gymnasium Pallbearers were all his family and friends.
