The book was evidently commenced by the first Samuel Blanchard of Andover, MA, and continued by members of the family.

I Samuel Blanchard landed in New England on the 23rd day of June in the year 1639.
I Samuel Blanchard came to Andover with my family upon the tenth day of June in the year 1686.
