Of the above-named, onlv Alvin and David appear to be connected by marriage or residence with this town : Alvin m. Sarah Whitcomb of Berlin Jan. 7. 1809, and David m. Beulah Johnson June 18, 1S07; David and Beulah had as., John F.. b. Feb. 6, 1S09, m. Elizabeth Brigham, sister of Capt. Paul Brigham : was several years town clerk here : kept a store at West Berlin and finally rem. to Northboro, where he d. It is not known what connection, if any, this family had with the other Newton familv.
