      Stone, Catherine G., 83, formerly of Montpelier, died Feb. 17. Born in 1914 in Montpelier, she was the daughter of William and Catherine (Buchanon) Hoare. She received her early education in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School. In 1945, she married Frank Stone. She was a secretary at National Life Insurance Company and a former member of St. John's Church (Episcopal) in Walpole, N.H. Survivors include her husband; one brother, Joseph Howard; five sisters, Louisa Jackson, Eunita Woodruff, Estella Meaker, Rowena Fellows and Phyllis Baker; many nieces and nephews.
