Deceased Name: JACKSON, JOAN RANDOLPH
JACKSON, JOAN RANDOLPH age 71, died Monday afternoon at a local hospital. A native of Danville, Illinois, she was the wife of the late, Louis Freeman Jackson. In her younger years, Mrs. Jackson was active in theatre, including a leading role opposite Dick Van Dyke. However, she is best remembered by all who knew her as a patient, kind and loving wife, mother and friend. Survivors are daughters, Kathryn Hoar of Birmingham and Ruth Talton of Selma; son, Randy Jackson of Greensboro, N. C.; a brother, Henry Randolph of Houston, Tex.; a twin sister, Jean Randolph Lewis of Danville, Illinois; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of Kathryn Hoar, Tuesday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. The memorial service will be at noon Wednesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be sent to UAB Hospice.
