      Deceased Name: Hubert J. Lowe
      Hubert J. Lowe, 78, of Jefferson City died Saturday, November 22, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
      He was born September 28, 1925 in St. Louis, a son of Lorenzo and Thelma Henry Hoar. He was married June 23, 1951 to M. Ruth Farmer, who preceded him in death on September 17, 2000. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693, the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5, and was a life member of the National Rifle Association.
      He is survived by one daughter, Jane "Smokey" Viertel and husband John; one brother, James Orr of St. Peters; one sister, Lornetta Phillippe of Robinson, Illinois; two step grandchildren, Brian and Daniel Viertel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Oar on September 14, 2002. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel.
      Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Riverview Cemetery at Tebbetts. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Tebbetts United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.
