(Blanchard) Hoar, 93, of 18 1/2 Malone St., a 30-year secretary for Westfield Manufacturing Co., died Monday in a local nursing home. She retired in 1950. Born and schooled here, she was a graduate of the former Bay Path Secretarial School, and a lifelong resident. She worshipped at St. Mary's Church, and was in its Rosary Confraternity. She was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II. Her husband, John T. Hoar, predeceased her. She leaves a brother, Charles H., and sister, Frances Dupuis, of Westfield, and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home and the church, with burial in the parish cemetery.
