Mullin, Alice Brennan September 3, 2004 Alice Brennan Mullin, 87, formerly of Woodstock, IL, and the Syracuse area, died Friday, September 3, 2004 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin. She was born July 13, 1917 in Marcellus, NY to Jack and Agnes Tierney Brennan. She married G. Clyde Mullin, on August 5, 1946. They owned and operated greenhouses and a retail flower shop in Syracuse. They were members of the Syracuse Florists' Club, New York State Flower Growers, and the FTD. She was active in the Merrick School PTA and the Girl Scouts. In 1971, she and her husband retired to their lake home in Skaneateles, NY. She held a supervisory position at a four-star restaurant in Skaneateles until her move to the Midwest in 1984 to be with her daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Mike. For the past sixteen years, she lived in Woodstock and enjoyed many activities there including the Fun Timers and the Over Fifty Club. A communicant of St. Mary's Church, she was a volunteer with the auxiliary. In her later years, she enjoyed boat rides with her family, and the companionship of Mr. Luke, a certified therapy dog, who continued his work at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson where she last resided. Her husband of 33 years, G. Clyde Mullin; and her sister, Agnes Brennan Wood, preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Mullin Hoar of Whitewater, WI; a niece, Mary Wood Mathewson, of North Syracuse, NY, and nephews, David J. and John F. Wood, both of Syracuse, NY. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 East Main St., Marcellus. A prayer service will be 9 a.m. Friday from Ryan Funeral Home, followed by her funeral mass being celebrated 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus.
