Obituary:
Mrs. M. [sic] J. [sic] Hoard, aged 43 years, died on Saturday last, of consumption, at her home in this city, the funeral being conducted on Monday from the house, Rev. C. C. Markham officiating. The deceased was an estimable lady, and had resided in the city for some years, and was respected by all who knew her. A son G. H. Hoard, and sister, Mrs. Wm. Leavens are left to mourn her death. (Brainerd Dispatch, 18 March 1898, p. 8, c. 2)
