Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Hoar have been ill for a long time unable to obtain the comforts of life by labor. On Tuesday last, Mr. Hoar received a line from his brother John, of Ashburnham, to be in readiness to drive him to Fitzwilliam, Saturday Afternoon John arrived on time, with a load of excellent hay, and a bag of sugar from his son. Another brother, George, came with an ample supply of potatoes; a brother of Mrs. Hoar, of Jaffrey, drove up with 1 ?a cords of dry hard wood; another from Fitzwilliam came with farm and dairy products, while other relatives came from Fitchburg and Westminster, all laden with tokens of love for those who have suffered long, giving them cheer that will brighten their days of sorrowful pain. The company finally numbered 28, nearly all assisting in presenting a sum sufficient to relieve the present needs of the worthy couple. The afternoon was pleasantly passed by all participating in the deeds of kindness that will be a great relief to those so unexpectedly benefited.
