Transcribed as W.S. HOW and/or W. S. HOOR. W.S. Horr, age 52 or 57, City Mayor, bp OH No other HORRs in household. Note this has him born abt 1813 or 1817. Attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Medical degree. Note William lived in at least three states. William was murdered while he was Mayor of Brookhaven. Note William was about 22 years older than his bride Mary Jane. He died of wounds while she was carrying their fourth child. Only the children from this marriage lived to adulthood. Note 3 of these 4 children moved west. JVS
