Former St. Johns Resident Passes Away At Owosso
Mrs. Walter Anderson passed away March 28 at her home in Owosso after a lingering illness. Leora Hoard was born in Lafayette township, Gratiot county in 1899. Nearly the whole of her school and young life was spent in that place. In 1919 she married Walter Anderson of that place and to them were born four children. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband and children, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoard; four brothers and one sister. One sister preceded her in death two years ago. She also leaves an aged grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shuman and a host of relatives and friends. Nearly all of her married life was spent in St. Johns, where she made many friends who will miss her.
