Henry Hoar Dies Monday. Henry Hoar, 85, long time Levering resident, who died Monday at his home, was buried Wednesday. Mr. Hoar was born August 24, 1864 in Walkerton, Ontario. When six years old the family moved to North Carolina, and in 1876 they came by boat to Cross Village with the S. A. Cosens and Henry Luesing families. All stayed for a few weeks in a cabin then staked homestead claims. In 1888 Mr. Hoar was married to May Mann who died in 1900. He later married Elvira Archer, who survives him. He has made his home in Levering since 1913. Surviving are his widow, a brother, Andrew of Levering, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hoar had a wide cicle of friends in the Levering area. Funeral services were held at the Levering Methodist church with burial following in the Bliss cemetery. Stone Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
