- From the Memorial Service card for Maude V. Cook:
Maude V. Cook, 91, Milan, died Friday, September 4 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, IL.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron. Memorials may be made to the Port Byron Congregational Church, where she was a member.
The former Maude V. Bell was born May 30, 1907, in Richland County, IL, the daughter of Silas and Sonora Kirkpatrick Bell. She married the Rev. E. Albert Cook June 10, 1936, in Mattoon, IL. He died in 1959.
She was an LPN, having worked at the Monmouth and Aledo hospitals.
Mrs. Cook was a RSVP volunteer for project NOW.
Survivers include a son, Karl Cook, Garden Grove, CA; a granddaughter, Kimberly Cook.
