I have a photograph of his tombstone in St. Mary's Cemetery in Oregon, Ogle, Illinois It is from those headstones I have death years for Ellen (actually Mary Ellen), James Sr., James Jr., Patrick, Jerry and Kathryn (which is how it is spelled on the tombstone). Ellen is listed as a widow in the 1910 census. She is also listed as having 5 children, 4 of whom are living. That matches my information perfectly, since Jerry had died some eight years earlier. It also confirms that James Jr. is not her son.
