      Anna M. Horr, 75 PORTLAND -- Anna M. Horr, 75, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2009, at Maine Medical Center following a long illness. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Edwin H. and Annie M. Martin Ham. Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed trips to the ocean. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James F. Horr of Mast Road in Westbrook; seven children, Steve, Jim, Deb, Anna, Bob, Suzie and Matthew; daughter-in- law, Cindy Horr; 11 grandchildren, Susan, spouse Ryan Mick, Stephanie, James, Adam, Elizabeth, spouse Brian Paine, Travis, Zeth, Julia and Angel; and one great-grandchild, Oliver. She was predeceased by siblings, Steve, Donald, Bill, Jim, Mike, Dave, Warren, Irene, Mary and Emma. She is survived by five siblings, Chester, Frank, Tom, Eleanor and Edwin Jr. Anna's family would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center and Maine Medical for their kind and compassionate care. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, where a funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.       William H. Ham, 70, of Cabot Street died Thursday at his residence.
      He was born in Portland, a son of Edwin and Annie Martin Ham, and attended local schools.
      Mr. Ham served in the Army during World War II and saw action in the Pacific Theater, most notably the Philippines.
      A a retired Portland firefighter with 21 years of service, he was a member of the DAV, the VFW, the American Legion and the Amvets.
      Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Pauline Gagnon Ham of Portland; two sons, William H. II of Hollis and Ricky J. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon E. Vierra of Sebago Lake and Paula A. Broad of Westbrook; six brothers, James E., Chester A., Francis W., Thomas H. and Edwin L. Jr., all of Portland, and Frank G. of Cape Elizabeth; three sisters, Mrs. Merle (Emma) Brown of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Alfred (Eleanor) Hill of Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. James (Anna) Horr of Westbrook; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
      A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
