He was one who always strived for excellence whether building a house or piloting a big rig cross country. Measurements must be on the mark and deliveries must be on time. His code for life was 'No injury, no damage, no excuse.' He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey N. Hoar. He is survived by his wife of the covenant, Charlene; a daughter, Brandi Hoar of Seaford, Va.; his parents, Arthur and Sandra Hoar of Toano, Va.; three brothers, Gregory S. Hoar and a special friend, Jason Hinderliter, Bradley D. Hoar and Timothy M. Hoar and his wife, Annis, all of Toano, Va. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at West Point Christian Church, 290 W. Euclid Blvd., West Point, Va. Burial will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th St., West Point, Va.
