The Will of George Cooper of the Village of Hanover, Co. of Bruce, Ontario who died Mar. 6, 1899 in Brant Twp. Administration was granted to Caroline Cooper and Fanny Cooper of Hanover, widow and spinster, and Samuel Wright of Durham, Co. of Grey, brickmaker. Will Book B, County of Bruce, Estate #1485, p. 805. Date of Probate Apr. 7, 1899.

To wife Caroline the money in the Canadian Bank of Commerce, $2000, and my $2000 mortgage on Henry Tanner's farm and my present residence in Hanover, being lots 3 and 2 and the W part of lot H on the N side of King St. with household goods. To sister Fanny Cooper my farm in Brant containing lots #59, 60, 61 and the N 1/2 of lots 67 and 68 in the 3rd Concession South of the Durham Road. To Mary Susannah Wright, daughter of John Wright of Durham, baker, three mortgages on land in Hanover. Residue to the Episcopal Church of Hanover. Wits: Henry Horton and John Mills.

It is interesting to note that Caroline Wakefield Hoar Cooper, the wife
of George Cooper, was the daughter of Thomas Wakefield who was living in the Village of Hanover when he wrote his will on Apr. 20, 1875 naming George Cooper of Brant as one of the Executors of his will.

Lot 61 patented to George Cooper Jan. 20, 1865.
Lot 59 George Cooper purchased Aug. 12, 1867 from Huntingdon Lewis.
April 17, 1899 George Cooper's Will was probated and the three lots of 50 acres each were granted to Fanny Cooper.
In 1973 this land was owned by Gerald Hunt.
