Her brother's obituary:
Ronald (Joe) Henry Fraser, 68, of 32 Meeting House Road, Onslow, passed away on August 23, 2000, at home.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Henry and Catherine (Biswanger) Fraser. Ronald played hockey with the Truro Bearcats and holds the record for the three fastest goals scored. He loved hockey, baseball and fishing, and will be sadly missed by family, fans, and his loyal companion, Jake.
He is survived by daughters, JoAnne (David) Roode, Onslow; Patty (Dale) Elliott, Brentwood; son, Scott (Heather), Truro; grandchildren, Shane, Kyle, Jenna, Marissa, Matthew; a sister, Viv (Frank) Hoar, Truro. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elsie Scott; sisters, Ethel Ross, Evelyn Theakston, Edith Irving, Hazel Spencer; a brother, Raymond.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 p.m., with funeral service on Friday at 2 p.m., all in the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Pastor Brent Carter officiating. A private burial will take place in the Watson Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
