      Providence Journal/Evening Bulletin May 24, 1989
      EAST GREENWICH --- Irene R. Hoar, 75, of 5 Lillibridge Drive, a realtor in Tiverton for 10 years before retiring in 1967, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Charles J. Hoar.
      Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Vaillancourt) Laferriere, she moved from Tiverton to East Greenwich 21 years ago.
      Mrs. Hoar was a member of the Defenders of Animals.
      Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Dennis R. Motta of El Cajon, Calif., and Charles J. Hoar Jr. of East Greenwich; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
      The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
