      Loretta Metzler Montgomery, NY

      Loretta Metzler of Montgomery, NY, and a resident of the area, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Middletown. She was 77.

      The daughter of the late August and Mae Hoar Cerda, she was born October 3, 1932, in Mount Vernon, NY.

      She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church, Montgomery. She was a retired Banquet Manager for Colonial Manor in Old Tappan, NJ.

      Survivors include her daughter, Karen Flood and her husband, Ken of Montgomery, NY; son, Michael Metzler of Boulder, CO; daughter, Susan Metzler of Montgomery, NY; daughter, Nancy Gustafson and her husband, John of Montgomery, NY; grandchildren: April, Storm, Alexis and John John.

      Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, from 4-7 p.m. at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY.

      Services will follow immediately at 7 p.m. at the funeral home; the Rev. Paul Milz will officiate. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Ambulance Corp, PO Box 25, Walden, NY 12586 or First Presbyterian Church, 100 Union St., Montgomery NY 12549.
