Deceased Name: THELMA RUSSELL
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home for Thelma R. Russell, 65, of Cortland, who died Monday at Cortland Memorial Hospital. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Preble.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 9 Lincoln Ave.
Born in Preble, Mrs. Russell was a life resident of the area. She retired in 1984 after 28 years with Smith-Corona.
Surviving are her husband, Fay G.; three daughters, Shirley Revette of North Syracuse, Carole DeShane of Preble and Nancy Horr of Homer; two sons, James F. of Homer and David K. of McGraw; two sisters, Evelyn Fox of Preble and Joyce Jordan of Warners, N.H.; two brothers, Donald of South Cortland and James Towers of Solon; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services for Fay E. Russell, 70, of Route 90, who died Tuesday in Syracuse, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Preble.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Russell was a life resident of Cortland. He was a cattle dealer for many years. His wife, the former Thelma Towers, died in 1987.
Surviving are two sons, James F. of Homer and David K. of McGraw; three daughters, Shirley Revette of Clay, Carol Deshane of Preble and Nancy Horr of Homer; three brothers, George A. and Lewis, both of Cortland, and Glenn D. of Dryden; two sisters, Amelia Congdon and Alice Scott, both of Cortland; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
