      Deceased Name: Ruth Swartz, 88
      PRINCETON -- Ruth (Hoar) Swartz, 88, of 19 Hubbardston Road, died Friday, Dec. 13, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home, Worcester.
      Her husband of 38 years, Emery Swartz, died in 1972. She leaves a daughter, Joyce S. Rettstadt of Princeton; two granddaughters, Sherry Cosgrove of Framingham and Karleen Habin of Holden; and two great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters predeceased her. She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of Howard and Gulielma (Meyers) Hoar, and lived most of her life in Holden and Princeton. She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania.
      Mrs. Swartz, a homemaker, was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Worcester. She was an assistant librarian at the Princeton Library for more than 10 years. She was active with the Princeton Wachusett House. She had served with the Chaffins Women's Club, Holden, where she was president.
      The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, in Concordia Lutheran Church, 86 Murray Ave., Worcester. Burial will be held in Old South Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Princeton Library, 2 Town Hill Drive, Princeton, MA 01541. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., is directing arrangements.
