John Hoar
John Hoar, 36, of Girardville, died at his home, 146 W. Ogden St., on Sunday evening at 6:45 o'clock, following an illness of complications. He had been a native of Girardville all his life, and was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Hoar. He was a member of St. Joseph's church, and until taken sick was employed as a miner at the Potts Colliery.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Anna and Mary. His wife was the former Miss Grace Long, of Locust Dale. Three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Price and Mrs. Albert Whitecavage, of Girardville, and Mrs. Joseph Culley, of Lost Creek, and two brothers, Thomas, of New York, and Andrew of Girardville, also survive. The funeral will be held from his late home on Thursday morning. Undertaker M.J. Clarke will be in charge.
