Harold Z. HOWAR [sic], 1990, Meyersdale, Somerset County, PA
Harold Z. Howar, 74, of Meyersdale, died Aug. 24, 1990, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born June 6, 1916, in Meyersdale. Son of the late Zedekiah and Jennie (Brown) Hoar [sic]. Survived by his widow, the former Mary Long, and these sons: Harold Daniel, of Wheaton, Md.; David William of New York City and Dennis John of Morgantown, W. Va. He was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. A retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of WW II Army Air Corps. A member of the Meyersdale American Legion, DAV, Masonic Lodge 554, Hebron Chapter 272, Harrisburg Consistory and Al Chan Shrine of Cumberland. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Leckemby Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Richard Hanley officiating. Interment, Reform Cemetery. Daily American, August 27, 1990
