      Margaret M. Plascyk
      Loving Wife, Devoted Mother & Grandmother
      Margaret M. Plascyk, 74, of Norwalk, beloved wife of forty-nine years of James A. Plascyk, died Thursday surrounded by her family at Notre Dame Convalescent Home.
      Born in Yonkers, New York, April 13, 1932, daughter of the late James A. and Bridget Hickey Hoar, she had been a Norwalk resident since 1962. A registered nurse, she graduated from the Cochran School of Nursing at St. Johns Riverside Hospital, Yonkers, New York. Mrs. Plascyk had been a staff nurse at St. Johns and Norwalk Hospitals. She was also a nurse at the former Fairfield Manor Nursing Home and the former Elmcrest Terrace Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
      Margaret was cared for in her final days by the compassionate and dedicated staff of Notre Dame Convalescent Home, and especially the Sisters of St. Thomas Villa Nova.
      In addition to her devoted husband, Jim, she is survived by three daughters; Barbara Slopak, of Colechester, Mary Kopas, and her husband David, of Norwalk, and Carol Farrell, of Barrington, Rhode Island, a sister, Dorothy Eyl, of Allendale, New Jersey, and six grandchildren; Katie and Daniel Slopak, Emily Kopas, and William, Lauren, and Shannon Farrell.
      Mrs. Plascyk was predeceased by a brother; James Hoar.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
      Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
