[[ Obituary:
John W. Horr, 60, of Rosemount, passed away on Wednesday, February 04, 2009, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born March 15, 1948 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Beverly D. and Sarah Anne Marting Horr. John was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and former member of the Portsmouth Area Jaycees. He was employed at the Southern Ohio Medical Center maintenance department for 26 years, where he developed treasured friendships with co-workers and staff throughout the entire hospital. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Brenda Potts Horr, a daughter, Kelli (Shawn) Richardson of South Webster; a son, Jason (Melissa) Horr of South Webster, 5 grandchildren, Michael Marting Horr Richardson, Matthew Caleb Richardson, Mitchell Eric Richardson; Tyler Joel Horr and Casey Brett Horr; seven siblings and a sister-in-law, Jerry (Sue) Rardin, David Horr, Ellen Horr Stoup, Sara Rardin (Clayton) Johnson, Alice Horr (Stephen) Barnett, Tim Rardin, Molly Rardin (William) Tee and Lorna Horr, along with many nieces and nephews. Also preceding him death were his stepmother, Ruth F. Rardin Horr and his twin brother, William B. Horr. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Evan Fisher officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at Brant's in Portsmouth 3-6 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service.
